Elias IN Common

Here is teh most common pose Elias will be in, in my book. He is a sneak, ranger, rogue all in one so it makes sense he would be crouched :D He is teh coolest protagonist you could imagine. I was really inspired by the antagonist in HellBoy II which was teh most awesome antagonist ever! WHen he did his ninja stuff I wanted to squeel in a giddy girly fashion and I am a large very burly man so it musta ben awesome EH? So this is just the sketch there will be a finished product and maybe even a colored verson WOOP! That is if I manage to get a good enough rasp on the Corel Essentials 4 program enough :) I sure do love my Bamboo FUn tablet. GET ONE!Comment once and a while eh? Also this is the most successful rendering of Elias' face I have drawn so IM sticking with it. I was so excited when I put my pen down and saw... ELIAS in the way I wanted him :) IM pretty stoked you guys! Comment!

My Girlfriend!

Here is an awesome drawing I did on Corel Painter Essentials with a Bamboo tablet. I really like it and am finally getting the hang of using layer to make my drawing easier to draw. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do :).

P.S. sorry guys it was a gift for her so I had to take ti down in fear of her checking my blog lol! Hope those of you who did see it enjoyed it :) Also it will probably be up after Christmas.

Bamboo Fun!

So I just bought a Bamboo Fun a few days ago. It's a sweet little, simple tablet for beginners and I love it! Im still getting used to it and figuring it out, but I'm loving it and learning alot. Expecially about layers. Also I have figured out what college I'm going to in a few years after I'm married. By the way, I'm getting married in a little over a year. I'm going to go to Full Sale University in Orlando, Florida! There I will recieve a Masters Degree in Game Design in 2 years and 11 months. My fiance will get a Masters in Entertainment buisness specializing in music buisness and recording arts. Awesome! My life is coming together. I figured I would post a few trials on the Bamboo Fun. The first is an incomplete sketch of Elias. The second is an owl card I designed for Rachel, my fiance, since our 2 year anniversary is coming up. Hope you enjoy them, I sure do! Just kidding the only thing I can get to upload is teh Elias sketch sorry gang :( Just kidding again I cant upload either curse you format error... well Take my wor, its fun and they look good :D Sorry again...

Finally! The Battle With the Giant

Elias' epic battle with the giant Ingens ( name is under consideration ). It is very swift, and its shows Elias superior agility and battle mastery. Ingens has much more brute strength and girth but Elias is an expert swordsman and is much faster due to his inheritance of the Cligas' race. Also to add to his war prowess, he can undergo a change where he lets his Instinct take control during intense battles and his strength, speed, and reaction time is highly increased. He simply dashes between Ingens legs and leaps into a spin where he, with precise thrusts, not only fataly wounding Ingens but removes his armor. A representation of speed and war prowess over brute strenght. It is not decided if Ingens survives or not, or even how they meet but there is more to this story.

A Scanner Badly

Sorry guys, ( whoever is following this blog which I think is no one hahaha ) my scanner is being so dumb so I cant add the finished product of the Battle With Giants. So as soon I get to a scanner that works properly I will get it here! See ya folks.

Late Night Escapades

Got an all nighter tonight with the church youth group so I will have to get the inked and final draft of Battle With the Giant up on tomorrow for the masses of people not looking at my blog... hahahaha, build it and they will come oh wow... so yeah expect it tomorrow. I will be working on it tonight but it will be clean and fancy tomorrow. I went out to the UofO bookstore's art section and bought a few drawing tools, a .1 inking pen, a .5 inking pen, a .3 mechanical pencil, and lead all for $12 something. A bit spendy but I will get quite a use from them. Have a great night folks!

Battle With the Giant

This is a sketch of a drawing I have been pondering for a while. A few weeks ago I wrote a small excerpt about a battle between Elias and a giant from the northern mountains. It was short but still pretty clean and clear. It could definitely use some embelishing and elaborating but it was simply a reminder of a scene I want to have in my book. That lead to other questions like, did the giant survive? Does he then become a nemisis for Elias? Or is he simply killed? Why are they fighting? Does he have anything valuable Elias finds after he kills him? Also I wasnted to convey the simple awesomeness of Elias. He is 1/3 the size of this brute but with his speed and Caligas strength he makes short work of the giant. Elias is so stinking hardcore! Oh well, expect a more polished drawing posted soon.

Elias Sketch

This is a drawing I have as a rough character design for a character in my book Instinct. His name is Elias and he is a Caligas, a pointed eared cinnimon skinned, and beautiful eyed race. They have a sixth sense that can communicate with them called the instinct and they can cas a gloom that is a dark shadow or gloom that can do multiple things depending on the command. They also may enter a state of mind where their instinct takes over and they are out of control. Now depending on their personality and the effect that has on their instinct it varies what their instinct will do. There's a bit about Elias.
